Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) for Knowledge Management (KM) Program Success Workshop

Two 3.5-hour sessions and one 3.5-hour lab: 10.5 hours – virtual.  For Knowledge Managers (KM), Change and Program Leaders, Human Resource and people analysts

If you’re planning a Knowledge Management (KM) program, this workshop will provide insights on how your organization can develop and build knowledge management as a competitive core competency.

Taught by Dr. Peter Mellalieu, Knowledge Engineer and consultant with Catalynk.

  • Gain a clear, non-technical understanding of how Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) and Collaborative Health Analysis (CHA) insights support Knowledge Management program objectives.
  • Experience Catalynk’s integrated ONA+CHA baseline survey and interpret real network visualisations, metrics and qualitative insights generated in Polinode, an AI-augmented social network analysis application.
  • Leave with a concrete, small-scale ONA+CHA project plan aligned to your Knowledge Management roadmap.

Who should attend

  • Knowledge Management program managers
  • Service and support leaders and operations managers (sales, service desk, customer support, success, internal Information Technology (IT), Human Resources (HR) service centres)
  • Change managers, HR and people analytics professionals involved in culture, collaboration or employee experience programs
  • Internal or external consultants, analysts and technical experts supporting KM initiatives

Participants will:

  • Complete a short ONA+CHA survey (live in Polinode) and see the aggregated results for the cohort.
  • Explore network views and metrics for a real KM coach-selection case, including sociograms and a candidate merit heatmap, based on Catalynk’s consulting work.
  • Draft survey questions and communication text for a possible ONA+CHA engagement in their own context.
  • Use a “Governance Canvas” to map stakeholders, data sources, storage/retention, acceptable uses, and communication plans for an ONA+CHA project.
  • Prepare a one-page project plan using an eight-phase ONA cycle, aligned with KM adoption milestones.
  • Define a 30-day action plan, describing how you will advance collaboration insights in your own organisation

Upcoming Workshops:

October 6, 13, 20, 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm NZT (Tuesdays)

November 3, 10, 17, 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm EST (Tuesdays)
