About this workshop
This 12-hour workshop, delivered in four 3-hour sessions, provides the fundamentals you need to begin planning a knowledge management ecosystem for use by both people and AI.
You will develop a working understanding of the components of a knowledge management ecosystem and how they fit together. Using practical exercises and your organisation’s content, you will begin designing elements of your own ecosystem, identify what your organisation needs, and recognise where deeper expertise may be required.
Build Your Ecosystem Step by Step
The workshop follows a practical learning progression. You begin by planning what your knowledge ecosystem needs to accomplish and understanding your existing content and channels. From there, you develop the structures needed to organise and connect that content, consider how it will be stored and reused, and bring these elements together through content planning, workflow, standards and governance.

Throughout the workshop, you apply these concepts to your own content. Work completed at each stage contributes to the foundations of a knowledge ecosystem that you can continue developing after the workshop.

Mark Pepper is the designer and facilitator of Catalynk’s KM Ecosystem for AI – The Basics workshop. He specialises in information architecture and knowledge engineering, with expertise in designing connected and scalable information systems.
His work focuses on helping organisations structure and connect their information and knowledge so that it can be used effectively by both people and AI. In this practical workshop, Mark guides participants through the foundational components and methods needed to begin designing a knowledge management ecosystem for their own organisation.
