The KCS v6 Practices Certification designates individuals who demonstrate a thorough understanding of the KCS concepts, principles, Solve and Evolve Loops. In addition, demonstrating a deep understanding of the measures, objectives and outcomes for the phases of KCS adoption.

KCS v6 Practices Certification exam details:

• Proctored exam through Kryterion (online or in a Kryterion Center)
• Approximately 65 multiple choice questions
• Two hours to complete (1 hour extension may be available for English as Second Language speakers and other requestors)

The Consortium for Service Innovation continually evolves the KCS methodology based on the experience and learning of its member community. There is no need to wait for future updates to develop your KCS capability. Practitioners who become KCS v6 Practices Certified between April 2026 and April 2027 will be eligible for a complimentary bridge exam to update their certification when the new certification becomes available.

Becoming certified now gives you the opportunity to apply KCS practices immediately—and to begin strengthening the quality, structure, and reuse of the knowledge your organization will increasingly depend on to support people and AI.
